Our Mission
Guiding growth, unity, and lasting neighborhood impact.
As part of our commitment to equity and inclusion, SCCC proudly supports the diversity of South Cumminsville by ensuring all residents have a voice in shaping our neighborhood’s future. We have Spanish-speaking staff available to assist families and individuals, and we actively welcome and encourage Spanish-speaking community members to participate in our meetings, programs, and initiatives.
Purpose in Action, Progress With Purpose
At SCCC, our mission is simple but powerful: to strengthen South Cumminsville Community Council through advocacy, action, and community-led progress. We exist to organize, support, and champion initiatives that improve the quality of life for the families, seniors, youth, and businesses that call our neighborhood home.
Words from our President-
Derrick Feagin: A message to the residence of South Cumminsville over the last few years the South Cumminsville Community Council has brought youth and adult entertainment to the community. We have sponsored skating parties, movie nights, back to school book bag giveaways with community groups and first Baptist Church of South Cumminsville. We have given Halloween and Christmas parties, even contributed to those for the youth, as well as hat, glove, and scarf giveaways to help keep them warm on those cold days while going to school. We have entertained the youth with the circus, as for the senior adults we've given away senior gift bags that include things that they can actually use to make their lives a little easier, and for the adults who have enjoyed the Blues in the Park and our South Cumminsville Family Reunions. Now it's time for all the residence to help us help ourselves. You can volunteer your time or your money to make our community a better place to live. We are working to bring a better quality of life for every resident of South Cumminsville. Once again, please help us to help ourselves. Thank you, President Derrick Feagin
Words from our Vice President-
Marcus Laine: As our community is on the rise, we want our people to survive and flourish too. We have partnered with many companies to make better living conditions, whether its help resourcing assistance with your utility bill or our "Pop-up" food drive we hand out to the residents once a month at our community center. With new developments in the works for Cincinnati itself, we want our community to be a part of it, even if it's through the new development of the Beekman Corridor, we still need your participation. Our community not only has families in it we also have history too. So, whether its through the launch of our new website, to bring togetherness and a wealth of information, or our community volunteer work, we are involved and we want you to continue to be involved, so "Let's Make it Happen" and have your voice at our meetings. The president and myself are accessible to you as we are deeply rooted in the South Cumminsville Community. Thank you, Vice President Marcus Laine
